How to add social media icons to your website footer

If you'd like to display social media icons on your website, you can add them to your footer using the built-in content editor, no coding required.

The Raise stock theme has built-in social media footer functionality, and you can find out more in the theme guidelines.

If you’re using another customer theme or a custom theme based on our older Raise theme, this functionality will not be available, and you will need to follow the steps outlined below.

Before you begin

You'll need:

  • A logo image for each platform (PNG or SVG recommended)

  • The URLs of your organization's social media profile

Add linked icons to the footer

  1. From your control panel, go to Website > Site settings > Footer

  2. Click inside the content editor to open it

  3. Click the image icon in the editor toolbar to insert an image

  4. Upload your social media logo or paste a URL to the image

  5. Once the image is inserted, click on it to select it

  6. Click the link icon in the toolbar

  7. Paste the URL of your social media profile and click Save

  8. Repeat steps 3–7 for each additional platform

  9. Click Save site when you're done

Your icons will now appear in the footer across your website.
