What data will be synced with my nation?
All contact information action-takers enter is automatically synced to your connected Nation. This includes:
Name
Email
Phone
Date of birth
Address
Opt-in preferences
Additionally, ActionButton will automatically sync the following information to your nation to help you keep track of the actions your people have taken.
Check Registration button
A record will be created for the action-taker with the tag
AB-checkregistration-[Name of Button].
Signup button
A record will be created for the action-taker with the tag
AB-signup-[Name of Button].
Opinion button:
A record will be created for the action-taker with the tag
AB-opinion-[Name of Button].
Petition button
A record will be created for the action-taker with the tag
AB-petition-[Name of Button].
Contact Your Lawmaker button (emails):
A first record will be created for the lawmaker with the tag
AB-representative.A contact will be logged on the lawmaker's record with the content of the message the action-taker sent.
A second record will be created or updated for the action-taker with the tag:
AB-email-[Name of Button].
Custom Email Target button:
A first record will be created for the target with the tag
AB-recipient.A contact will be logged on the recipient's record with the content of the message the action-taker sent.
A second record will be created or updated for the action-taker with the tag:
AB-email-[Name of Button].
Custom integration settings
Buttons can be configured so that action-takers:
Receive custom tag(s) on their NationBuilder profile.
Are assigned to a point person within your nation.
Are enrolled in an automation.
Are added to a path.
Are awarded social capital. The value of how much social capital is awarded per button type can be found at Account Profile > Integrations.
How to get set up
If you don't already have a NationBuilder account, the first step is to start a free trial. For the simplest setup experience, make sure to use the same email address associated with your ActionButton account.
To add the ActionButton integration to your NationBuilder plan:
Navigate to the ActionButton icon in your control panel's sidebar.
Click "Activate ActionButton" to enable the free add-on in your Add-ons section.
You’ll be taken to the ActionButton app to set up your account and connect it to NationBuilder.

How do I upgrade my ActionButton plan?
You can upgrade your plan in your nation control panel by navigating to Contacts and billing > Add-ons > Manage ActionButton.
