⚠️ Please note: This applies to NationBuilder-managed domains. If you will be managing your own domain/DNS, you can find instructions here.
Follow these instructions to change the nameserver records on GoDaddy to connect your domain to your NationBuilder website. Once you have added your custom domain in the control panel and reached this screen, you’ll want to open a new browser tab to sign into GoDaddy:
2. Select the domain
Select the checkbox next to the domain you want to connect to NationBuilder.
3. Edit the nameservers
After selecting the domain, click More to show the action menu. Select Edit nameservers from the action menu:
4. Add the new nameservers
Select I’ll use my own nameservers:
Use the nameserver fields to enter all 6 of the nameserver records below. To add additional fields, click the + Add nameserver link until you have enough fields.)

5. Complete the process
Click Save, then Continue to complete your updates.
You'll see a Success confirmation letting you know the nameservers have been updated.
⚠️ Please note: Most DNS updates take effect within an hour, but could take up to 48 hours to update globally.
Congratulations! Your custom domain is all set. You should not need to make any other changes. You may see error messages on your site for a short time while the site connection is established.
Reasons to contact NationBuilder Support
If your site does not display your custom domain after 48 hours, first make sure you re-save your site. That step is required to complete the connection process.
If you need to add any DNS records to a domain managed by NationBuilder.
