Step 1: Add "text messaging" to your Broadcaster
To send texts, you need a broadcaster with texting set up. You can use an existing broadcaster or create a new one.
To check or create a broadcaster:
Go to the Communication section of your nation.
If you already have a broadcaster, click its name.
To create a new one, click + New broadcaster, name it, and select Add text messaging.
Step 2: Set up your texting number
After clicking on “Add text messaging,” you’ll come to a screen where you need to set up a phone number.
Follow the instructions to set up and choose your area code. A phone number will be assigned to your broadcaster for texting.
Step 3: Add the texting "add-on" to your nation's billing plan
When you add the add-on, you will be asked how many credits you want to purchase per month. To better understand how credits work, please take a look at the Understanding text message pricing guide. Some plans include 350 free texts each month. If these are included in your plan, your monthly cost won't increase when you select that number of credits from the drop-down menu.
Step 4: Register for 10DLC or check to see if your organization is already registered
To check if your nation and organization are already registered, go to Settings > Phone numbers. If you see this notice, it means your organization is not registered, and you should go back to the previous step and add the texting add-on. This will start the 10DLC registration process. Step 4: Set up texting settings in your broadcaster
You can only text people with a mobile number who have opted-in.
Go to Broadcaster > Settings > Texting.

Step 4: Send your first text
Go to Communication > Your broadcaster > Texting.
Click New text blast.
Write your message, select your audience, and then send or schedule it.
Step 5: Learn and enable texting opt-ins
Check out this HOWTO guide on keywords that can be used to subscribe and unsubscribe.
Ask your supporters for a phone number by going to; Website > Site settings > check off “Ask for mobiles”. Now, any signup page that asks for phone numbers will include a field for supporters to leave their phone number and an opt-in checkbox.
