Supporter profile walkthrough

Learn the parts of a supporter's profile page.

Updated over a month ago

When someone signs up on a Signup page of your NationBuilder site, you can allow them to "activate their account."

The supporter profile includes:
1. Personal Information

2. Profile settings

3. Login & Security

4. Email preferences

Personal Information

Here, a supporter can add basic contact and DOB info. The changes they make here are automatically saved in the person's profile in the People section of your control panel.

Profile settings

In Profile settings a user can create a username if they wish and add a short bio and image. This profile could be used in a directory for a community. The changes they make here are automatically saved in the person's profile in the People section of your control panel.

You can see this information in the control panel on a person's "Profile" tab. All information entered by your supporter can be found here.

Login & Security

If the supporter has control panel access (most won't), they will have access to this area, where they can update their default login email address and edit their multi-factor authentication settings.

Email preferences

This section will direct your supporters to an unsubscribe page, where they can uncheck any subscriptions they no longer wish to receive. To set this up, learn more about unsubscribe settings here.
