Where to start

NationBuilder supports the creation of separate websites in one nation. This means that these websites will be sharing a control panel and database. The pages of your individual websites will be kept separate in the control panel for you to easily manage and make theme adjustments to each website. It's also easy to separate people in your database that are coming in from different websites using tags, filters, and lists.

Nations on the Leader plan will have access to two public sites and nations on the Organization plan will have 10. Enterprise and Network plans will continue to have unlimited sites. Private sites set to "admin only" will not count in the number of sites included in your plan. For more information, we recommend you look at this blog post from our product team and our pricing page.

All sites will live under the Website tab in your control panel. Your default site will always display first, and then the rest of the order is based on the site most recently updated. The menu will display a maximum of 5 sites. If you have more than 5 sites, you can access all of them by clicking Manage sites.

Create a new site

You can create a new site by clicking on Manage sites in the Website section of your control panel, then + New site.

Once you've done that, you'll need to decide on a name, slug and broadcaster for your new site.

You can also set up a headline, homepage title for your site in search results and decide who can view this new site.

Once you've completed the initial setup, click Launch site and your new site should be created in the next couple of minutes!

Need a separate database?

One last thing to note, if you need a separate people database connected to a secondary site, you may be interested in the subnation add-on.ย
