Third-party payment processors will be deprecated on January 28, 2027. One of the first steps to take is reviewing every payment processor connected to your nation and switching any you're not actively using to test mode.
Where do I find my payment processors?
Go to Settings > Payment processors. The Processor column lists each payment processor connected to your nation. Any processor other than NationBuilder is a third-party payment processor, and will be deprecated.
What should I do next?
Audit any payment processor other than NationBuilder Payments.
To find the date a processor last collected a transaction:
Go to Finances and apply this filter:
Payment processor is > [select a third-party payment processor from the dropdown menu],
Check the date of the most recent result
If any recent transactions appear, your nation is currently using a Donation v1 page somewhere, collecting through the processor you selected. If you don't already have one, start by creating a NationBuilder Payments account. We recommend converting your Donation v1 pages to Donation v2 pages to begin using NationBuilder Payments.
To find whether a processor is actively collecting recurring donations:
Go to Finances and apply these filters together:
Payment processor is > [select a third-party payment processor from the dropdown menu],
Recurring donation status is > Active,
Is part of a recurring donation
If any transactions appear, that processor is still collecting recurring donations — you should sign up for Recurring Donation Migration to move them to NationBuilder Payments.
Set any processors that are not being used into Test Mode.
How do I switch a processor to "Test Mode"
Go to Settings > Payment Processors > click on the edit button, check the box next to Test Mode and click the blue button "Save account" to save your changes.
📌 Note: switching a processor to test mode does not affect donations already processed. It only changes how the processor handles new transactions going forward.
